12-Month Gas or LPG Boiler Service Agreement

Definitions Within This Contract

For the purpose of this Agreement, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

  1. a) “The Company” shall mean Paratus Heating. b) “You” shall mean the customer. c) By requesting our services, You are accepting our terms and conditions. d) “Variations” shall include additions, omissions, or substitutions to the originally agreed work, fittings, and fixings, etc.

 

This agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Paratus Heating (“the Company”) and the customer (“You”) for the provision of gas or LPG boiler service plans. By engaging the services of Paratus Heating, You acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions outlined herein.

 

1: 12-Month Commitment and Cancellation Policy

1.1. By selecting and agreeing to a service plan on the Paratus Heating website (https://www.paratusheating.co.uk) at the time of setting up the payment plan, you (“the Customer”) acknowledge and agree to a 12-month contract for the selected service plan by ticking the tick box titled ‘I AGREE TO THE 12 MONTH CONTRACT TERMS‘.

1.2. The 12-month commitment ensures that the Customer cannot cancel the service plan within the first 12 months after the start date, except as specified in this clause.

1.3. If the Customer has requested and received service work within the initial 12-month period, they cannot cancel the service plan before the completion of the 12 months. Any cancellation request within this period will not be permitted.

1.4. If the Customer has not requested or received any service work within the initial 12-month period and wishes to cancel, they may do so with a 30-day notice. However, no refunds will be provided for the previous paid months.

1.5. If the Customer cancels the service plan after the initial 12-month period and has not requested or received any service work, they will not be eligible for a refund of the paid months.

 

2: Waiver of Cooling Off Period

2.1 By agreeing to these terms, you request immediate provision of the Boiler Services.

 

3: Payment Terms

3.1. Once you have selected the relevant subscription plan on the website, read and agreed to the contract terms, and completed the sign-up process for the subscription, you will be charged the applicable monthly fee for your chosen subscription plan for the first month. (Each month is paid upfront).

3.2. Payment will be securely processed through STRIPE’s Payment Gateway on the day of the month you initially signed up for a further 11 months.

 

4: Scope of Work

4.1. The Company will provide gas or LPG boiler service plans, which include maintenance and repairs, as specified in the selected plan.

 

5: Quotations

5.1. All quotations for work will be based on the information provided by the customer. Any variations to the work following the issue of the quotation shall result in a revised quotation.

5.2. For variations after work has commenced, a fixed price to cover the variation shall be agreed between the Company and the customer.

5.3. In case of changes due to insufficient information or defects found in existing installations, the customer is liable for any additional expenses.

 

6: Emergency/Out of Hours

6.1. Our call-out charge is £50.00, payable by You each time a repair request is made. It’s non-refundable except for related repairs within 28 days.

 

7: Liability

7.1. The Company can only be held liable for the extent of works carried out by The Company.

7.2. The Company is not responsible for loss or damage to property, materials, or injuries caused by the actions of the customer or other household members or guests.

 

8: Health and Safety

8.1. The Company will ensure a safe working environment. The customer is expected to do the same.

8.2. The Company reserves the right to refuse to undertake work in an unsafe environment.

 

9: Duty of Care

9.1. The Company has a duty of care to the customer in respect of materials, workmanship, security, property, and belongings.

 

10: Building Regulations

10.1. You shall obtain all necessary consents for the installation of the works.

 

11: Services and Waste

11.1. The customer will provide and pay for power, water, and waste removal.

 

12: Satisfaction

12.1. If You are not wholly satisfied with the service, provide written notice within 28 days. The Company will inspect and carry out remedial work where appropriate.

 

13: Warranty/Guarantee

13.1. The Manufacturers Warranty will be provided upon completion of boiler installations.

13.2. Work is guaranteed only for work undertaken by the Company and fully paid for.

 

14: Photographs

14.1. The Company may take photographs for promotional use.
